Toby EDA Reorganizes

POCONO PINES – The Tobyhanna Township Economic Development Authority held its reorganization meeting in January.
The Authority selected Brendon Carroll to succeed John Holahan as chair and Rachel Schickling was selected as vice-chair, with Holahan voting in the negative. Holahan was appointed secretary, although he voted against the appointment. Newly appointed member Adam Kerrick was unanimously named treasurer, and absent new appointment, Kalahari manager Daryl Morris was named assistant treasurer. The authority unanimously agreed to retain Elliott, Greenleaf, & Dean as solicitor at the rate of $230 an hour, unchanged from 2020.
Carroll added a motion to the agenda to appoint Township Manager Bob Bartal as executive director of the Authority, replacing Autumn Canfield, which passed unanimously. A motion to appoint Gregoire Romulus as financial director was tabled for an executive session requested by Schickling.
Following adjournment of the reorganization meeting, the authority met in executive session and then returned for a regular meeting at which Bartal was appointed financial director.
The board approved the payment of bills totaling $37,639.27 and ratified January bills of $739.86. The Authority will continue to meet on the first Wednesday of each month, at 6 pm.
A proposed 2021 budget of $32,750 was adopted and approved for submission to the township supervisors.
