Mayor's Pumpkin Patch - Free! Halloween Thursday, October 31, 6-8 pm, Borough Building. Bring your carved pumpkin to the Mount Pocono Borough Building. Pumpkins to be judged on creativity and originality. Judging begins at 7:30 pm. More information.

Pocono Mountain Regional EMS Annual Halloween Spooktacular Saturday, October 26⋅ NOON – 3:00 pm at the

Pocono Mountain Volunteer Fire Company, 20 Murray Street, Mount Pocono, PA 18344. Join in the Halloween fun at Pocono Mountain Regional EMS' annual costume party! Experience awesome points from the pros and grab some great games and sweet treats. Here are some 2019 Halloween/Fall fun options for kids of all ages (some attractions not suitable for kids, the faint of heart, or sticks in the mud).


Mazezilla at Klingel Farms Mazezilla is an 11 acre corn maze with a new and unique design each year. Since 1998, Mazezilla and Klingel Farm have welcomed thousands of visitors for wonderful, educational, and family-oriented adventures. The incredible Mazezilla maze is open weekends now through November 3rd. For hours and prices, see the Mazezilla Web Site. In addition to the Mazezilla Corn Maze, Klingel'sa farm offers extensive (and free) games, rides, baryard animal petting area, as well as the Farm Stand produce store on their site on Old Route 115, one mile from Saylorsburg Flea Market between Saylorsburg, PA and Wind Gap, PA. www.mazezilla.com

Old Homestead Tree Farm The Old Homestead Pumpkin Patch is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. every weekend in October, including Columbus Day, starting on October 6th. Choose from a wide variety of Pumpkins and sizes. Admission is free and pumpkins cost .45 cents per pound. There are plenty of activities for the whole family ranging from a hay ride, boat rides, and a corn maze. Roba Family Farms Harvest Festival Open Wednesdays -Mondays now until November 3. Roba's Fall Season begins in sunny September and ends as the moon rises on Halloween. Amusement Rides, Pumpkin Patch, Corn Maze, Photo Ops, Farm Animals, Dog Shows, Festival Food, Cow Train, and more! Country Junction's Great Pocono Pumpkin Festival September 28th thru October 27th + Columbus Day, Mon thru Sat 9-6pm, Sunday 9-5pm, Pick pumpkins, play games and enjoy some great food. Enjoy daily hayrides, family corn maze, haunted house and much more. There's even more fall fun on weekends including wagon rides, midway rides, bumper balls, and a gourd grenade activity. Heckman Orchards - A Poconos favorite for over 50 years, this family farm offers a farm store as well as "Pick your Own" pumpkins & apples. Spooky Days on the Farm Enter Quiet Valley Living Historical Farm after dark, if you dare. Activities take a turn towards the things that go bump in the night on the farm around Halloween that will thrill and chill visitors of all ages. For those unshakable nerves, on Friday and Saturday nights put your detective skills to the test by helping solve a murder mystery. A guide will help take you around the farm as you meet the suspects, gather clues, confront the Hag of the Woods, explore the creatures of the night, and more! This program is designed by forensic specialists and includes discussions and depictions of death and murder. The farm is extremely dark at night and we encourage visitors to bring flashlights.  Actors are not permitted to touch visitors. Not suitable for all audiences.

During the day on Saturday and Sunday gather your family and explore the traditions and history of Halloween.  Play games, listen to stories, learn about the creatures of the season, take a horse and wagon ride (weather dependent), and much more! This program takes approximately 1 to 1 1/2 hours and is targeted towards families with younger children. This event takes place rain or shine and is both indoors and outdoors, so please prepare for the weather.

54th Barrett Township Halloween Parade Sunday, October 27, 2019 at 2 PM – 4:30 PM Throw on your Halloween costume. Grab your candy bag. Maybe grab some gloves & a hat too. Get ready for one of Barrett Township's favorite traditions. Featuring creative floats, live music, fire trucks, antique cars and of course, SANTA!

Eckley Miner's Village Haunted Halloween Lantern Tours October 18th & 19th, 25th & 26th

Beware! Creatures lurk in the darkened streets of Eckley. This hour long walk is full of scary stories and things that go bump in the night. Bring your own flashlight or purchase one in the gift shop. Doors open at 6:00 pm and the last tour leaves at 9:00 pm. Tours are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. 6th Annual Haunted Hugh Moore Park October 18, 19, 25, 26 Enjoy an evening of spookery in the park. A special Halloween ride on the Josiah White II canal boat, a ghost walk to the locktender’s house, pumpkins, hay ride, crafts and lots of fun activities and snacks. New this year – Two boat rides to choose from, hayride back from locktender’s house, “spiked” cider (for guests 21 & over) and more. See their website to purchase tickets and for more information.

Jack-o-Lantern Lane at the Da Vinci Science Center This family-friendly Halloween exhibit returns for a fourth year. Explore the science of sensory perception and illusion-making. The new focus is on exploring light, optical illusions, and fun sensory challenges. Features Pepper’s Ghost House, Mirror Drawing, Light Wall, Shifted Sight, Optical Illusions, Paper Circuits, Thaumatropes and Spooky Science Live Show. Also, returning are Sound Tubes, Color-Changing Circuit House, ChromaDepth 3D Lenses, Jack-o-Lanterns, Colored Shadows and Family Photo Ops. Jack-o-Lantern Lane is included with general and group admission and is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. Jim Thorpe Fall Foliage Festival 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, Oct. 5 to 20, downtown Jim Thorpe. Enjoy scenic train rides, handmade arts and crafts, food, free live music, children’s activities, spooky ghost tours, train rides on the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway, ghost stories, ghost walk, and seasonal specials from local restaurants, shops and galleries. Ghoulbaugh Celebration: Coolbaugh Township Parks and Recreation will host this annual event from 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 26 at the Municipal Park, Route 423, Tobyhanna, rain date is Oct. 27. There will be goody bags, pumpkins, entertainment and more. Information: 570-894-8490, ext. 3 or coolbaughtwp.org.

HarvestFest and Trick-or-treating: At the Monroe Farmers Market from 8 a.m. to noon Oct. 26, Courthouse Square, 610 Monroe St., Stroudsburg. A celebration of peak season and the year’s harvest. Enjoy live music, animal costume contests, extra vendors, and much more. After the market closes keep the spirit going as you wander the shops of downtown Stroudsburg for more trick-or-treating fun. Trick or Treat in Historic Jim Thorpe: Noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 26 and 27, Route 209, downtown Jim Thorpe. Wear your scariest, silliest or most creative costume. Promenade through town and visit participating shops and restaurants as they hand out yummy treats for the kids. Seasonal specials for the grown-ups, too. Free. Quiet Valley Harvest Festival Quiet Valley Living Historical Farm’s 45th annual event from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 12 and 13 at Quiet Valley Living Historical Farm, 347 Quiet Valley Road, Stroudsburg, rain or shine. Learn about heritage crafts and traditional skills such as spinning, weaving, broom making, scrapple making, apple butter making, basket making and candle making. There will also be plenty of folk entertainment, good country food made by hand, children’s activities, pumpkin decorating, a quilt raffle, pony rides, horse drawn wagon rides, one room schoolhouse presentations, outdoor brick bake oven and much more. PEEC Harvest Festival Celebrate fall at the Pocono Environmental Education Center's ninth annual event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 12 at PEEC, 538 Emery Road, Dingmans Ferry. Featuring animal presenters, arts and crafts, hands-on activities, conservation exhibits, live music, local food, old-timey activities and more. Cost: $5 per car. Hallo-Fun at Knoebels - Knoebels transforms into a spooktacular place for ghost and ghouls of all ages. Weekends in October, Extra festive, fall fun for all ages from 10AM-12PM, Saturdays and Sundays during Knoebels Hallo-Fun Weekends! Knoebels visitors can experience tasty treats, thrilling games, freaktastic attractions and a selection of Knoebels' hallo-riffic rides! It's a spooktacular event for all ages with frights that come in all shapes and sizes! Join the Boo Crew as they spread the spooky spirit all throughout the park. Special fall-themed activities include character breakfasts, bingo, cookie decorating, pumpkin painting, body art and glitter tattoos. Children ages 12 and under can take the Trail of Treats and receive a special prize after visiting each location.

Some of your favorite Knoebels attractions will have a terrifying twist, like the haunted antique cars and the Halloween Express train ride. Check out Zombie Elimination at Lazer Command, the spooky mini golf course and the Mystifying Magic Show. As for treats, the food stands will offer seasonal goodies along with all the favorites. Hotel of Horror featuring Altered Nightmares The 2019 season marks 27 years for The Hotel of Horror. The Hotel of Horror and Altered Nightmares Halloween Haunted House Attractions are both housed inside the Legendary Lake House Hotel, 5105 CHERRY VALLEY RD., SAYLORSBURG PA 18353. The sinister subconscious of the Hotel of Horror feeds off the dark energy that stains the lumber skeleton of this once pristine mountain resort, while Altered Nightmares celebrates the chaos that grows stronger as each soul travels through its decaying halls and abandoned rooms. Please enter with caution as the inmates run this asylum. Witness for yourself why they are critically acclaimed in the United States and Internationally! Waldorf Estate of FEAR Every Friday and Saturday in October, visit the Waldorf Estate of FEAR for four terrifying haunts: The Haunting at the Waldorf Hotel haunted house, the Terror in the Corn haunted hayride, the Infection Zombie Apocalypse game, and the Zombie Escape Rooms. Brave one or attempt all four for an unforgettable adventure. Reservations are recommended for the Zombie Escape Room. Tickets for all haunts are available online. On-site ticket booth is cash only. Old Jail Ghost Tours On October 5, 12, 19 & 26, stroll the dark halls of the original 1871 Old Jail in Jim Thorpe and HEAR haunting tales of true, ghostly happenings while you HUNT for spirits. Enjoy spine-chilling stories that really occurred in the Old Jail. This is not a made-up haunted house; the Old Jail is home to REAL spirits. Tours begin every 20 minutes. No advance tickets. Part of the proceeds from the October 26 tour will benefit the Jim Thorpe Fire Department. (Children under 12 are not permitted) See the Old Jail Website for more info.

Lights Out Zip Lines Race your friends through the night sky on Camelback Mountain Adventures' 1000’ Double Barrel Zip Line, past the shadowy creatures below, where the only light is from passing fireflies and distant torches. With the popularity of the Lights Out Ziplines, please call ahead and reserve your launch time. If you arrive early for your reservation, they encourage you to experience one of our other truly unique haunt, the Monster Coaster. Ticket sales end 30 minutes prior to the coaster's closing time. The Monster Coaster will also be open on Columbus Day, Monday, October 14 from 6-10pm. See Website for more info.

The Monster Coaster Beware the dark and the creatures that come to life as you race through the woods on USA's only Monster Coaster at Camelback Mountain Adventures. ZOOM past the phantoms of the forest with ghouls, specters and things that go bump in the night. With the popularity of the Monster Coaster, please call ahead and reserve your launch time. If you arrive early for your reservation, they encourage you to experience one of our other truly unique haunt, the Lights Out Ziplines. TATS Purge Can you survive The Purge? The only scare venue in NEPA where you get to shoot at the actors that jump out and scare you! Armed with real guns converted to shoot paint marking rounds, you will move through the disorienting maze of rooms and meet some of the home’s mask-wearing Freaks! Choose between two modes: Jason Bourne or John Wick based on your age and/or skill level. *12 yrs of age or older can play. Anyone under the age of 18 needs parental consent and a guardian signed waiver. But be careful – other participants will be out hunting as well! Check out the Website for ticket info.

First Eastburg Zombie Pub Crawl The Eastburg Community Alliance will host its first Eastburg Zombie Pub Crawl from 5 to 9 p.m. Oct. 12. The streets of East Stroudsburg will be taken over by zombies starting at The Cinder Inn and ending at Trackside. Visit eight bar venues, enjoy drink and food specials, and have a chance to win sponsored raffle prizes. Proceeds will support future ECA seasonal/holiday events for the East Stroudsburg Community and 10% will go to Olsen’s Christmas Wish. Registration at The Cinder Inn begins at 3 p.m. Cost is $15. Participating bars: The Cinder Inn, Bovinos Pizzeria and Brewery, Rudy’s Tavern, Goal Line, Lackawanna Hotel, Beer House Cafe, Derailed Taphouse, and Trackside Station Grill & Bar. Day of event zombie makeup available from Fawn Makeup Studio and Spa. Makeup station will be set up at The Cinder Inn at registration from 3 to 5 p.m. Zombie makeup $15 per person. Additional prosthetics are an additional charge. Cash and card accepted. Tickets include Eastburg Zombie Pub Crawl t-shirt and one raffle entry. Raffle drawing will be held at 9 p.m. at Trackside Station Grill & Bar. Must be 21 years or older to participate, proper forms of identification are required day of event and at registration. Reaper’s Revenge Olyphant, PA - Pennsylvania’s Reaper’s Revenge is a haunted hayride with a terrifying twist. You’ll start off on the Haunted Hayride attraction, which will take you into the depths of the forest. When you leave the safety of the wagon, the fear factor ramps up. You’ll enter the Lost Carnival, an outdoor walkthrough crawling with sideshow freaks and crazed clowns. If you make it out alive, you’ll have to find your way through a pitch black indoor maze. When you’ve made it out, don’t get too comfortable. You still have to make it through Sector 13, a post-apocalyptic maze packed with hungry hordes of zombies. For real adrenaline addicts, Reaper’s Revenge offers an interaction option. If you opt in, the ghouls and monsters might grab you, separate you from your friends, or even bring you into the act. Gravestone Manor, Wilkes-Barre - 19 years going strong. A professional; theatrical production; more like an interactive play. All actors and staff donate their time to support the United Way. Screams and Scares for a Good Cause You’ve seen plenty of horror movies—now it’s time to see if you could survive one in real life! Gravestone Manor is a haunted house with a theatrical twist. You’ll be pulled into a story and become part of the cast as you find your way out. It’s like a haunted house meets an interactive whodunnit mystery. The ghouls and monsters at Gravestone Manor have quite a bit of heart. Everyone on the staff is a volunteer, and all proceeds benefit the United Way of Wyoming Valley. Circle of Screams, Dickson City -Something sinister lurks behind the screens at Circle Drive-In. Each fall, Circle Drive-In transforms from a cute, retro movie theater to a terrifying haunted attraction. Venture past the movie screens, and you’ll encounter the creepy creatures of the forest. Circle of Screams offers three hair-raising haunts. Start off on the haunted hayride, which brings iconic horror movies to life. Next, walk through the Cirque de Peur, a spooky sideshow infested with crazed clowns. If you’re still up for more scares, test your fate in Delfino Manor, a classic indoor walkthrough teeming with monsters. WEBSITE for more info.

Halls of Horror, Palmerton, PA - Think you’re fearless? Even the most hardcore horror junkies get goosebumps at Halls of Horror in Palmerton. This isn’t like the haunted houses you went to in high school—Halls of Horror is one of the goriest haunted attractions in the area. The gut-wrenching scenes and bloodthirsty monsters are nightmare fuel at its finest. Halls of Horror is an interactive walkthrough, which means that the actors will touch and grab you. Get ready to come face-to-face with psycho clowns and insane butchers. You’ll need a double dose of courage to make it out alive!

If you’re still up for more scares, check out The Blood Experience. This walkthrough is full of murderers, madmen, and tons of fake blood. This attraction can get messy, so leave your good clothes at home. Halls of Horror is geared toward adults.
