NWS Issued a CODE RED for Mt Pocono -- 60 mph winds & large hail on way
UPDATE 4:40 pm -- The Code Red has been lifted, but a Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 10pm as conditions are ripe for extremely high winds and hail to develop again tonight. Saying that 60 mph winds and large hail can be expected between 3:30 and 4:15 pm this afternoon, the National Weather Service has issued a Code Red for Mount Pocono & surrounding areas. In addition to large hail and damaging winds, frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
