Mount Pocono Memorial Day Ceremony

For many years, Mayor Fred Courtright worked to make Memorial Day something for which the Borough can be proud. The VFW Post 3448 always comes out and has a flag ceremony and Honor Guard.

Everyone has plans for Memorial Day, but seemingly fewer and fewer of those plans involve the reason for the Day.

Since Mayor Fred isn't around (in body, he's certainly here in spirit), I am taking up his annual appeal to ask each of you to take a few minutes of your time on Monday at 10am, to honor our men and women who died in service, protecting our freedoms.

Please consider taking 30-45 minutes of your day to attend the ceremony in front of Borough Hall.
