Measles Exposure Warning Issued for Allentown Area

If you have visited the Lehigh Valley in the last week or two, you may have been exposed to the measles. The Pennsylvania Department of Health has issued a Measles Exposure Warning for people who have visited certain Lehigh Valley locations, The Department has identified the following specific locations, dates, and times of the potential exposure:
-- From 9:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 7 in the 7350 Office Building, 7350 Tilghman St., South Whitehall Township
-- From 2:30 to 4:35 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, in the main lobby of the office building at 1251 S. Cedar Crest Blvd. in Salisbury Township
-- From 8 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, at Quest Diagnostics, 1608 W. Allen St., Allentown.
-- From 9:15 to 11:45 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, in or near the emergency department at Lehigh Valley Hospital, 1200 S Cedar Crest Blvd, Salisbury Township.

Sixteen cases of measles have been confirmed in Pennsylvania in 2019. The Centers for Disease Prevention and Control and Prevention has reported that 1,250 cases in the United States this year -- the most since 1992.
