Lehigh Valley Health Network COVID Report Shows Hospitalizations at and Above Spring Surge Rates

(ALLENTOWN NOV 25 2020) - In a COVID-19 report released November 24, the Lehigh Valley Health Network said the number of COVID-19 patients across its hospital system now equals the numbers at the height of the initial surge of infections this spring.
The LVHN operates Pocono hospital in East Stroudsburg, as well as hospitals in the Lehigh Valley, Hazelton, and Pottstown.
According to the Pennsylvania Department of Health Coronavirus Dashboard, as of noon yesterday, November 24, there were 33 COVID patients in Monroe County hospitals, including the LVHN hospital. Eleven patients were in intensive care rooms, with 5 on ventilators. The county currently has three adult ICU beds available.
