Coolbaugh Vol Fire Co Fundraiser Sale Has Something for Everyone!
COOLBAUGH – Fundraising is difficult in the COVID era. Many traditional forms of used by our local volunteer fire companies – fairs, carnivals, chicken or spaghetti dinners, fireworks – they all had to be canceled this year or so limited in attendance due to social distancing requirements as to greatly reduce the benefit to the organization. With most local volunteer organizations heavily reliant on donations, the pandemic has put a crimp in their budgets.
The Walmart Distribution Center on Veterans Drive in the township has come through for the Coolbaugh Township Volunteer Fire Company with the unexpected donation of a full tractor-trailer load of merchandise, donated to the volunteer unit to use as a fundraiser.
The fire company is busy identifying and sorting everything. They are getting it ready for an outdoor “fire” sale, outside Station 1, at 652 Laurel Drive, Tobyhanna, on Saturday, September 19, and Sunday, September 20, from noon to 6 each day.
Masks and social distancing required. Cash and major credit cards accepted. All proceeds will benefit the volunteer force.
There’s practically an entire store’s mixture of items donated for the fundraiser. From bath and beauty supplies, to flat screen TVs, exercise bikes, and BBQ grills. With school supplies, sporting goods, auto supplies, office supplies, and appliances, there’s something for every household and every budget. You are practically guaranteed to find something here that you were going to purchase this week anyway, so why not shop where your purchase will support an important, vital local organization?
See you at Station 1 on the 19th & 20th!
