Borough Council's Future
Updated: Dec 1, 2019
There is always more than one way to solve a problem, and the problems in this Borough run deep. My attempts to identify and solve these problems in my two years on Council have been mostly fruitless, but my goals remain unchanged. This election sent a clear message of which direction the voters prefer to go, and as such, I will pursue other avenues outside of Council to help my town.
This morning I dropped the following letter off at the Borough offices. My resignation from Council will be effective as of January 31st, 2020. In the coming months, Council has important matters to attend to such as the

For those wishing to fill my vacant seat, you will need to send a letter stating your intent to the Borough Secretary. The council will likely set up public interviews before selecting a candidate at the February meeting. The person appointed will be seated immediately and will serve the remainder of my four-year term, which ends in December 2021. Dear Borough Secretary Noonan,
On November 5th, 2019, the voting residents of our Borough made a clear decision as to the direction they felt was best suited for a prosperous future. While I disagree with the decision, I respect it and, as such, wish to tender my resignation effective Friday, January thirty first, two thousand twenty. This period should provide the Council with ample time to interview potential candidates.
Upon my departure, I will seek new avenues to use my time constructively to help move this town forward. My family lives in this town, so I remain invested in its future.
To the residents of the Borough, I extend my deepest gratitude for your support and, to the three hundred and twelve that put me in office, your votes.
To the Borough staff, please consider this a formal thank you for all of your hard work in keeping this town running. Mount Pocono has, and hopefully will, remain in your good hands.
To the Councilmembers, Councilmembers-elect, and Mayor-elect, you have my support since your successes and failure will determine this town's future.
